Belly Dancing: Habibi Hafla

Celebrate Autumn with Dance, Food, and Halloween Fun!

Date: Saturday, October 26
Time: 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Get ready for an enchanting evening filled with the magic of dance, the warmth of autumn, and a touch of Halloween spookiness at our October Hafla! This festive gathering is the perfect opportunity for our Dance Barre family and friends to come together, enjoy delicious food and drink, and celebrate the beauty of movement.

WHAT'S A HAFLA? A Hafla is a social gathering centered around music, dance, and celebration, often used within belly dance communities to bring people together in a joyful and relaxed atmosphere. It's a chance for dancers to perform in a supportive environment and for the community to experience the beauty and diversity of belly dance.

What's Happening:

  • Performance Showcase: Starting at 6:45 PM, immerse yourself in a captivating performance featuring local belly dancers, talented students, and a variety of dance styles including contemporary and jazz. Let the music and movement sweep you away into the spirit of the season.

If you’re interested in performing at the Hafla, let an instructor know or email us at hello@dancebarrebcs.com.

  • Social Dancing: After the performances, the dance floor will open up for everyone to join in the celebration. Whether you're a seasoned dancer or a newcomer, come and share in the joy of dance with others.

  • Halloween Festivities: Embrace the Halloween spirit with themed decorations, treats, and maybe a spooky surprise or two! Feel free to wear your favorite costume or autumn-inspired attire.

Event Details:

  • RSVP: Attendance is free, but please RSVP to help us plan for the event. Secure your spot and join us for a memorable evening!

  • Potluck Style: In true community spirit, our Hafla will be potluck-style. Bring a dish or drink to share, or consider making a donation to support the event. Your contributions help make our gathering a warm and welcoming experience for all.
